Making a contract with us
When you place an order with us (Fireplace Mega Deals) you are making an offer to buy goods. We will send you an email confirmation that we have received your order.
Once we have checked the price and availability of the goods, we will e-mail you to confirm that we accept your order, (Confirmation of Order) and that a contract has been made between us.
In the unlikely event that the goods are no longer available, or there is a pricing mistake, we will advise you of this.
The majority of stock items will be despatched within 7 days of receiving your order, however some products may take longer, depending on the stock status with our suppliers. In all cases items will be despatched to you as quickly as possible and you will be kept informed of any changes or delays to the estimated delivery date.
Payments
Payments may be made online by Visa, MasterCard or Switch card. Cheques must be paid in advance and must be cleared before delivery. All retail prices include Vat at 17.5%.
How to place an order

Once you have placed an order you will be contacted via email within 24hours with details of your order and further information.
Fireplace Mega Deals will store your data securely and it will not be handed on to any third parties.
Delivery
We only deliver within the UK mainland. Please allow up to 28 days for delivery, most goods delivered within 7-14 days. For other destinations we can deliver to the nearest, convenient UK port. Any further arrangements are the buyer's responsibility.
Fireplace Mega Deals shall not be liable for any delay in delivery beyond the supplier's control.
If the goods are lost or damaged in transit, please let us know promptly by contacting us on our office telephone number 08445 763065.
The drivers are unaccompanied; they will not move or take away any existing goods or property for the purpose of assembly or installation of the items.
The goods will be delivered to your premises at the safest convenient location. Delivery drivers as standard will not carry items upstairs. We recommend that you do not book a date for installation until the item has been delivered, as dates may change due to circumstances beyond our control. Please do not sign for or accept any goods until unpacked and checked in full. We cannot be held responsible for any damage to the goods caused by the carrier if you sign for them as "received in good condition". If you are unable to check any item thoroughly you should cross out "RECEIVED IN GOOD CONDITION" and write on the delivery note "RECEIVED DAMAGED" and only then sign for the delivery. If you notice any visible signs of damage, please refuse to accept the delivery and do not sign any document. In the case of manufacturers factory boxed items (e.g: fires) - If within 48 hours of receiving the goods you find any damage which was not visible at the time of delivery, you should report this to us immediately in writing by e-mail, letter or fax. Failure to do so before the 48 hours have elapsed will not entitle you to a valid claim and we shall have no further liability for the goods. If any items are found to be damaged or parts missing on receipt, we will arrange to repair or exchange free of charge as soon as possible. Should you choose to return the goods instead, we will of course offer a full refund. However if the goods are found to be in full working order, we will deduct a 15% handling charge along with the cost of any carriage we may have incurred in the delivery or return of the goods. These costs will then be deducted from the refund due to you. On delivery you will be responsible for the goods. If however you delay in accepting the goods our delivery responsibility for everything other than any damage due to negligence will end on the date the carrier tried to deliver the goods to you. The carrier shall be entitled to hold the goods in storage and to charge you the reasonable costs for storage and insurance which you will be liable to pay to them. You may also be charged for the re-delivery of the goods. Once the goods have been despatched you will not be able to cancel any contract you have with us for services carried out on your behalf e.g. packing/delivery costs.
Cancellation and Returns
We trust you will be pleased with your purchase, if not, we will endeavour to resolve any concerns without delay. In Law you have a 7 day cooling off period within which you should return the goods using an insured delivery service at your own expense. Unfortunately we cannot accept any mistakes made on your behalf if for example a product is not suitable for your chimney or flue or you do not like the product.
The goods must not have been fitted, installed or used in any way. The goods must be unmarked and free from blemishes of any kind, and returned in a re-saleable condition in their original sealed packaging where possible with labels intact at your own expense. Please ensure that you have used an insured delivery service to return items to us, as we will not be liable for goods that are lost/damaged in transit. Before returning the goods please e-mail us and obtain a returns authorisation number which must be clearly marked on the outside of the packaging - Items not bearing this information will be refused on delivery.
If you fail to take reasonable care of the goods before they are returned to us, and this results in damage or deterioration, we will charge you for the reduction in value.
For your security and protection refunds are given by the same method which the payment was made by, within 28 days. Most refunds are made next working day.
This cancellation policy does not affect your legal rights for example, if goods are faulty or inaccurately described.
Special Order items
A "special order" is any order which has been personalised to your specification by altering a colour or measurement on your instruction, or a non-stock item that has been ordered by us from our suppliers on your behalf. If you wish to cancel an order for a special item you will be liable for the cost incurred by Fireplace Mega Deals up to the point to which you have informed us. This will be typically be the cost of manufacture that we have been liable for and any delivery costs that have been incurred in relation to this order.
Faulty Goods
On occasion, unfortunately, some products can develop a fault. If a fault should occur within the first 12 months of purchase we would initially ask you to consult the manufacturers instructions. Most manufacturers include a "trouble shooting guide" which may enable you to locate the problem and rectify it. If the problem still occurs the manufacturer will attend the premises and resolve the problem for you under their 12 month guarantee. Their details are normally on the user/installation booklet or data badge on the appliance.
